Come together with the global Drupal community in Rotterdam, 28 Sept – 1 Oct 2026. Sessions, contribution, connection, and Early Bird savings until 8 June.
Microsofts Sharepoint would probably be the closest thing to drupal. I belive sharepoint to be very scarey with what all it integrates into. It adds system users on the local server and also attaches to other servers on the local network (even though it has not rights to). Then the implementation of sharepoint is scary and backup of sharepoint whenever I worked with it was all or nothing.
Anonymous User accounts were also a scary thing to setup. It was more ment for intranets. For Content Management Systems I would stick with Drupal or Joomla. They just to seem to be on top of things as far as upgrading and backing up the CMS.
I wouldn't use Sharepoint as it is a 'client' install and not open source. The closiest thing to Drupal for the IIS environment is dotnetnuke. It has a huge community and is getting good reviews. Check it out:
