Problem With Template Uploads

Hi ... noob needing easy help ...... i am trying to upload several custom templates from the drupal.org site. I have installed Drupal 6 and have chosen templates which are D6 compatible > terrafirma_theme & art4-green
I have followed the instructions for upload and created the sites/all/theme directory and located the templates files there.
For the life of me, i cannot figure out why the templates are not showing in sitebuilding>themes
Can someone explain where i am going wrong?

Ok, I assume you unzipped
Ok, I assume you unzipped the files and uploaded just the folders right? If that is the case, as it should be, make sure the file permissions are at least 755 (world readable).

Yes, i unzipped the files before uploading via ftp and the file permissions are all set at 755 or above.

I'm also having this problem.
I have followed the instructions on creating the themes folder i.e. sites/all/themes/ and the newly uploaded themes just won't appear in the theme admin area.
If no one else has any
If no one else has any ideas, you may need to go over to the issue queue and file a bug report. Before you do, I would suggest either verifying the integrity of the file you uploaded or uploading it again. Things can get corrupted.
