Using this new module, I got the following user-warnings:

user warning: Unknown column 'node.vid' in 'field list' query: SELECT node.vid, node.nid FROM node WHERE title = 'Hotel Horizon' in /home/public_html/includes/database.mysql.inc on line 172. 
warning: mysql_fetch_object(): supplied argument is not a valid MySQL result resource in /home/public_html/modules/unique_field/unique_field.module on line 132.

Thanks for reporting this issue. I've removed the reference to the vid field in the latest revision -- it turned out to be unnecessary. Could you give it a try?

I will if I am back from my skiing holidays in Italy.
Could you consider also to have the link/homepage url-field in links_weblinks and link (CCK) to be included) in this great module?
