This isn't exactly a feature request - I'd just like to hear your thoughts. I am planning on trying this feature among many others to this module. I figured to ease the db, during cron, the time should be checked, and if its not between 9:30am-4:00pm EST, the module shouldn't bother fetching new data. Nothing is going to change during this period - so why bother? It is possible to determine the current time in a given timezone, correct?

What I was also considering was to have the module update the current quote price everytime the data is requested by the user but only update the more detailed info every hour. This would also cease during non-trading hours...

Any thoughts?

But Yahoo has data from stock exchanges around the world. And the module is in use around the world. Do they get updated only 9:30 to 4 pm Eastern?
