How to assign a theme to a personal blog?

How can I archieve this?
1 I can't use the extended (paths) option because it only show the theme only in the page of the blog and not work when you click on any content from there
2 Should I create a taxonomy word or subject to be entered every time that user post , so I can assign a theme to that word?
