extending this module

This is an interesting module to me....I've been pondering how to make this "goal setting" part of my site happen and this could be the basis of it. My thought is to use this to allow users to set goals thru taxonomy using this module.

I'd also like to for the user that sets these goals to be able to come back later and check them off saying "I've done this goal" and other users to have options like "I want to do that too", "I've done that already" and "I can help you do that".

Any ideas on how to make that happen? With this module? As a future feature? Or in conjunction with any other existing module?

My audience is world-wide, but I also want to make goals more generalized (but localized)....for example I'd like users from all over the world to say that they want set "a regional performance record" (a general term)....and then be prompted to fill in a separate field as to what region they are trying to set it for.

I am kinda thinking out loud here but maybe the 'content type' should be 'goal' and the tags associated to it should be separate...one for type of goal, another for region....that may open up options for the other options I list above....

Any advice?
