Because of this it will not allow me to add a current feed to work with the new Drigg implementation.
I notes this:
warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /var/www/dailyradical.org/htdocs/includes/form.inc on line 949.

Hi,

Sorry, I have no idea what you are talking about.
Can you please describe _step by step_ what how to reproduce this problem, and in fact what the problem actually is?

Merc.

well the problem is that the RSS new feature on Drigg is not working..
I log into the news agregator configuration,
I edit one of my current external feeds,
I see the drigg new options added..
there is a selection box for Categories that is empty, but it should show my categories.. but is not.
so because of this it wil fail to let me add my feed to be used with drigg..
and as a side note that may help I get this:
# The category is not correct <<--- [obviously because I can't select :-)]
# warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /var/www/dailyradical.org/htdocs/includes/form.inc on line 949.

Hi,

Ah, I know what the problem is.
Add a dummy category to your Drigg menu, and then delete it. Or, run the "MASS URL recalculation" in Drigg.

Drigg is using a cached version of the menu - to make the RSS feed work, I changed slightly what the cache contains. So while things work perfectly in a new installation, this could happen to an existing Drigg installation.

I will try and fix the problem in the upgrade script. But, the instructions above should fix it!

Bye,

Merc.

hmm sorry but I run the MASS recalculation on the main drigg module config(the one at the top [just in case Im doing it wrong])
and still nothing is populated on that drop down..
and I still get this msg
warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /var/www/dailyradical.org/htdocs/includes/form.inc on line 949.

Hi,

Did you try:

"Add a dummy category to your Drigg menu [through Admin -> Content Management -> Categories] and then delete it."

Also, have you downloaded the latest Drigg? Or have you just grabbed the extra module? You NEED the latest Drigg to work with the RSS module!

Merc.

Yes I did :-(, about the lastest Drigg, I'm confused, I updated the 3 modules, drigg, userkarma etc..
is that not enough? let me know thanks.

Hi Rek2,

Once you confirm that you did what I wrote above (add a dummy category, etc.), and if that doesn't work...

Please email me (merc at and then mobily1.com) your URL and admin login/password, and I will have a look.

Bye,

Merc.

Hi,

OK this is fixed -- user hadn't upgraded to the latest version of the Drigg module.

Hi Merc,

We just installed Drigg: first of all, good job! We hope to have something up and live within a a few days :)
When trying to integrate the RSS feed into Drigg, we got the same error as Rek2 obtained...
warning: Invalid argument supplied for foreach() in /var/www/[site]/drupal.[site]dev/includes/form.inc on line 950.
We checked all of the below:
- Latest version 1.34
- Run mass calculation
- creation of dummy categories and deletion
Everything looks just ok...

Could you help us with this?

Hi,

adding a question to a closed bug is _never_ a good idea.
Please open a new bug or reopen an existing one.

In this case, please upgrade to the latest version of the module (possibly the snapshot) to check that it hasn't been fixed.

Merc.

Hi Merc,

Was testing the RSS functionality , Even i am facing the same problem have updated it to latest snapshot too

I have a demo site ,will mail u the details

Hi,

sorry, I will only login onto users' machines if everything else failed.
Once again, please open a new bug with the list of _exact_ step by step instructions to replicate the problem going from drigg_distr.tgz (available at http://www.drigg-code.org) to reproducing the problem.

The instructions need to be so detailed that an intelligent monkey needs to be able to follow them mechanically.

Bye,

Merc.
