hi, just wondering if there is a plan to port to drupal6 once OG and Views are ready..any status update is appreciated.

Right. It's a plan then. Thanks to Paul. Regarding the changes with OG and Views, I have not had a chance to look at how any changes might be leveraged. Paul is working on fixing all bugs and converting to D6. A few features may also be added. If anyone has ideas, we are always open to hearing about them.

With your approval the plan could be the first release 1.X of OG Forum @ D6 would be a working version of our latest stable release on D5 migrated to D6 and then a second release 2.X would be a feature update which would include implementing new ideas based on new OG/Views features @ D6
