Deleting user pictures...???

Marquis - February 24, 2008 - 08:04

I've enabled avatars on my site.

I've noticed that when you go to picture in your profile, and select the delete button, its actually a request to delete your account. It seems to me that it makes no sense at all... should it not be deleting the profile picture instead?

So my question is: how does one simply delete the profile picture? I'm guessing one of my settings is wrong, so if anyone could help me out, I'd really appreciate it.

There should be a button

There should be a button there that gives you the ability to delete the users picture:
"
[] Delete picture
Check this box to delete your current picture.
"
Do you have this? Check Access Roles in admin, you may have to flick a switch there.
You can always remove the pic manually via ftp.

Here is what it looks like

My installation doesn't have

My installation doesn't have the 'picture' tab, instead it is located under the default 'Account Settings'. I'm guessing you've customized Drupal and put it on a separate tab, without the delete button.

my bad... I had installed

I had installed "User Picture Resizer" http://drupal.org/project/resizer

Didn't use avatars 'till then... thanks for helping me find that little mistake of mine.

Cheers!
