i'm a little confused where and how to embed my own video files. it says when its already in the files folder? can i just upload my video files into a custom folder on the server then add the link when i post content? is that how it works?

For what you seek I think the mediafield.module would be a better fit rather then the embedded media field which is used for pulling form other sites and embedding on your own.

yes, you can just upload video files to a custom folder and add that path into the emfield. mediafield would probably work better if you are ONLY doing local videos. however, emfield supports it as well.

we are working up a plan over the next few weeks to offer better local support with emfield. i hope to do some heavy lifting towards this during the conference next week.
