Description

I'm on a non-ssl server attempting to import Jott posts. I've created the setup and link on Jott, and access permissions are properly distributed. Whenever I attempt to post via Jott, though, I get a "failed to receive jott post" error.

In my watchdog:

jott 02/25/2008 - 12:32pm Jott.com post failed. : /jottlink

And periodically, a strange

page not found 02/25/2008 - 12:33pm jott.com/LinkPostBack.ashx

any ideas?

My first thought is the jott watchdog entry should have the Jott POST variables in the string instead of just /jottlink so it makes me think Jott.com didn't post correctly. I'll try and see if I can recreate this soon to verify if its the code. The page not found doesn't ring any bells because the code isn't making a request back.

Thanks

After a bit of investigating that error message occurs when my code is unable to pull your Jott userkey and message out of the post Jott sends to your website. When the transcription confidence is low I know the message use to contain the string "Please listen" (or something very similar) but perhaps that has changed and now the message is empty. Jott has the option to send a message to Jott links from their website, actually skipping calling their number and speaking your message. This feature is accessible on the 'My Jotts' page on the right-hand side under 'Out'. It's called 'Send a Jott'. Type the name of your Drupal Jott Link and a message and see if it goes through. Your message won't actually turn into a node because Jott sends these typed in messages with confidence 1 (which I should change my code to understand) but you will get a watchdog entry saying Confidence too low - which is a good sign.

Sorry for tasking you with some testing here, but I haven't been able to duplicate having a Jott post fail. Thanks!

After reinstalling (several times), I finally got a message saying that "The jott link is now active" after adding it in Jott.

However, now whenever I send a messege, be it voice or text, I get something along these lines:

Are anonymous users allowed the "access content" permission under Administer > User management > Access control?
