I did a first port to drupal 6.x, it should work but it is not tested sufficiently yet.

Here is the patch as a diff to the DRUPAL-5 branch.

Fixed a major bug in comment_cck.install with the schema hook.

I've applied the patch to the D5 version. Since that version did change a bit after this patch was created, there might have been some problems. Please test http://drupal.org/node/268129

I am marking this fixed, please open new issues for problems you find.
