You're wondering if there's a tool for making an LMS for teaching employees or internet students or whoever it may be, how to do something through a system of tutorials? I was just looking for some guidance on this and this post came up. I was thinking you could just use the book option in "create content" (or where ever it's located) then get the video module off Drupal.org and do tutorials for your employees or whoever, that way? anyone have any tips or pointers on how you'd go about doing something like this?

SCORM compliance

I too am trying to integrate LMS functionality with Drupal. I currently use a platform called "Claroline", but it is showing its age. A few requirements that I personally have that might be shared:

  • SCORM Tracking
  • Exams/Exercises/Tests/Evaluations
  • Prerequisites (user cannot move to part B without completing part A)
  • Minimum score to pass (optional per part, but needed for tests and some lectures/movies)

I hope that this applies to what you were seeking. I'll be digging some more to see what else I can find. I'll comment again if i find anything useful.

SCORM + GradeBook

I read about another project that wants to build a true SCORM module for Drupal:

http://drupal.org/project/scorm

...and...

http://drupal.org/node/202524

And then I've also read about a tool that some people think will be the definitive foundation for LMS work in Drupal:

http://drupalmodules.com/module/gradebook

Maybe these efforts need to come together!?!?!?

I am a flash / e-learning / developer who is somewhat new to Drupal, and my actual SCORM experience (programmatically speaking) is limited, but I would love to get involved in building out modules to hopefully get a good LMS going inside of Drupal. My company is currently looking for both an LMS ...AND... a Web CMS and it looks more and more like they are headed for (1) SharePoint and (2) Dokeos, but I would rather the answer be DRUPAL and I think I could make that happen if this stuff could get going soon... or more... or I could figure out the state of it!

Any ideas folks!?

Does Drupal allow to create commercial extensions by it's license policy?
I might check if our team would be interested in developing Drupal module / bridge for JoomlaLMS...

Can you help me please?
Best regards.
Dmitry.

Hi Dmitry,

I also come from a Joomla background. What you need to know as a noob to Drupal is that everyone here uses http://DrupalModules.com for that kind of extension lookup that Joomla has although I think Drupal modules is far better because of its rating scale widget and ajax search function.

Welcome to the awesome world of Drupal!
