I would like to suggest that we discuss what the plan is with regard to managing the Drupalcon site after this Sunday. I would guess that we will want to update the site during the course of the week with news, photos and information about sessions and such. It would be better if this were planned rather than flying by the seat of our pants, no?

chrisfromredfinI am willing to help keep the site updated throughout the week/conference.
Initial thoughts:
- probably want to keep a newsroll on the home page with updates from "inside the conference"
- need people to take exciting photos of things, or we should have a bucket where people can upload their photos onto the site (maybe get one of the many image gallery modules installed and working?) alternatively, we could get someone to add photos to the existing flickr photostream that's displaying in the orange block already on the home page. or have a bucket that people add to, and a moderator selectively re-uploads pictures to flickr... ?
- we'll want to point people to and/or feature post-session forum discussions on the home page
- we'll want to announce the winners of the showcase site contest on the site, for sure
- the "blogosphere says" and "attendees" section of the home page becomes more irrelevant once the conference is underway, so that could be a good target for this new content -- we could take it away, but then put this new stuff at the very top of the right column so it's "right there" under people's fingertips (mouse pointers :) )
