Hey there all,
So we've got a client who's interested in having their Drupal site have a shopping cart.
I did some research, and found [on these forums!] something called Ubercart, and I wanted to get general opinions on it from experienced installers/users.
Also, the customer specifically wants 1 backend store, but like 10 front end stores, all with different and intermixing products. Can Ubercart handle something like this easily? Is it a pain to deploy?
Thanks again for taking the time,
Christian

There are two extremely
There are two extremely powerful shopping carts for Drupal that I know of: Ubercart and e-Commerce. I'm not familiar with custom development for either, however, Ubercart seemed easier to deploy and administer.
Personally, I prefer Ubercart... but both are great. You could always create your own shopping cart using Mal's e-commerce (which I have done successfully in the past).
thanks for the help
appreciate the feedback!
Is there a mals Ecommerce integration with ubercart?
Hi,
i was wondering if there is a module for Mals ecommerce to be integrated into drupal/ubercart with configuration settings? Do we have a module? I am interested in creating a module for Mals Ecommerce to integrate with ubercart. I am thinking that the "product" content type created by ubercart should be used with mals ecommerce. This way, customer won't have to write any code. The same products will be used (pricing, description, quantity etc) and we won't need any custom forms. Your thoughts please?

Ubercart is the way to go
I would personally recomend ubercart as it has much better features than e-commerce
module. It is also very easy to install.

Ubercart is great, ecommerce is ok too
For a simple cart, the ecommerce module is adequate.
Ubercart offers more features/complexity, but don't be afraid...
