Come together with the global Drupal community in Rotterdam, 28 Sept – 1 Oct 2026. Sessions, contribution, connection, and Early Bird savings until 8 June.
I agree and hope to work with everyone to get a Drupal 6 version on the scene soon. Outside of the specific upgrade, I would like to see a few new features including:
1.) Support for subdirectories to the file system as discussed in (http://drupal.org/node/205242) (http://drupal.org/node/142768).
2.) Better handling of the swish_fulltext table so if a file filter is added at a later date, swish.module will smarly update the files.
3.) Integration of Swish-E results with the regular drupal search (instead of doing it as another hook_search implementation).
I made a development snapshot for Drupal 6 that passed a couple early tests that I put it through, but would encourage people using Drupal 6 to check it out and see if it works. Since Swish-E is such a server platform specific tool, we will need testing on Mac, Linux, and Windows with all of the different file formats Swish-E and Swish-E module supports.
Here is a link to the development snapshot. I assume it will go on the main Swish-E page at some point: http://drupal.org/node/231436
