Hello,
I'd like to add a document library to my Drupal site. I've searched for 'document library' and found a lot of documents and libraries, but not what I would call a 'document library'

I would like to allow certain permissioned users to upload .doc and .pfd files. as well as links to my own Terms of Service, Privacy Policy and event liability disclaimer. In certain processes, I would like the user to 'check' that they have read and understand the liability disclaimer, terms of service, etc.

Can anyone offer suggestions on how to accomplish this?
Thanks,
Kelly

Not sure really. You might look at WebFM and legal module. Neither will probably really suit directly so you may have to engineer your own. Another possibility is UberCart, it's an ecommerce module but has controls and such and has ecommerce stuff for downloads, so it might be possible to do it with that.

Hello all:
I'm hoping you can help with a potential project, or tweak the current Legal Module to fit a specific purpose.

I'm using Drupal 5.7. My site consists of an extensive calendar of events. I want to include an electronic liability release form with each event. In other words, when a user registers for an event (each and every event), they must check a box that says they have read and agree to the waiver.

That is probably pretty similar use of Robert Castelo's Legal Module.

To be most effective, it would help if the module could insert tags from the event into the waiver, such as the user's name, the event, the date of the event, etc in the form (which, aside from the blanks, will be drafted by a qualified attorney).

For example:
Event Title: Whitewater kayak lessons
Date: May 5, 2008
User: Joe Smith
Website: www.whitewater.com

waiver reads something like:

I, <-- insert User's name --> hereby release <-- insert website name --> from death or serious injury resulting from <-- insert Event Title --> being taught on <-- insert date --> blah, blah, blah. Sign my life away. Blah, blah, blah.
<-- electronic signature -->

<-- check box required to register for event -->
<-- data stored indifintely for future reference -->

Based on what I've seen, bits and peices of this request are available, but not quite as described. I would appreciate any thoughts you have on the development or other contributors who may be able to assist. I am not sure how to formally propose this project but suspect others may benefit from it.

Any help you can provide would be greatly appreciated.
Regards,
Kelly
