mydomain.com/tracker by default shows recent posts
if i install Bittorent, will that have any implications on the default mydomain.com/tracker

Nope, no issues at all since it uses mydomain.com/announce for the tracker bits.
Also the "namespace" for the module is bt_(module name). For the current release it is bt_torrent and bt_tracker so there should be no issues with running tracker and bittorrent at the same time.
