Hi,

After I enabled the book module, I entered the book page creation form. There is a "Book" field in "Book Outline" fieldset . I selected to "create a new book". And it says "This will be the top-level page in this book." . And I filled all the other elements and submitted the form.

After that a page is created ! I selected the outline tab of the page . It says that "This is the top-level page in this book." .

But I cannot find anything in q=admin/content/book and q=book page .. And when I create another page I cannot see the old book I created in the 'book' field drop down.

Finally I believe that no book is created !

-- Thanks

Please, make sure that the book page is published. If the book page is not published it won't appear in the books list at admin/content/book nor won't be available to be a parent book page.

Does the node appears in the content list at admin/content/node ?

I have exact same issue. After enabling the book module, I tried to create a book. When I create new book page and click on under Book outline section, I get message that says "This will be the top-level page in this book.".
However, no book is created, just the book page.
I cannot find anything under admin/content/book and no book is created.

I can see the book page created under admin/content/node
However, I cannot see "Add child page" as well.

I am logged in as site administrator (user/1)

Thanks.

I have the exact same behaviour as #3 , alsa as admin , and with a role with "create new books" permissions, there is no way to create a book. Nor after put on create a book page, not in Admin>content>content type>book, or on Create new content.

Due I'm on a hurry I will use pages intead but it should be good to have the book feature back :)

I reinstalled the module and the problem got resolved.
