Closing Tags in Teaser block

I just realised that Drupal doesn't seem to auto-close tags in the teaser block - i.e. if a node essentially has it's entire text in one <strong> block , the teaser shows only the first few lines. These few lines have opening <strong> tag, but not the closing <strong> tag. This result in all content below this teaser to also be in bold. Looking in the modules section, I noticed that there's a HTML corrector. But that doesn't really apply here.

I'm sure this is a well-known issue, but searching for this problem yielded nothing. Are there any known solutions?
