When adding and editing "custom content" on a panel, saving the panel often results in the custom content getting deleted with no way to retrieve it. It just disappears on save.

realityloop commentedAre you clicking save both on the Custom Content edit box.. and the panel content page once the popup disappears?
bomarmonk commentedYes, the content shows up in the drag-n-drop areas, but it's actually upon hitting save at the bottom of the "panel content page" that the custom content actually vanishes.

realityloop commentedwhat other modules do you have installed? I believe that there are known issues with jQuery Update..

realityloop commentedbomarmonk,
Were you clicking save in the custom content popup before clicking save on the "panel content page"?
bomarmonk commentedYes, it looked like the content was being added to the panels "panel pages", "content" area. Then, when saving, the changes would be lost. I managed to work around this, but I did have to repeat the task of adding the custom content several times. I think it had to do with adding custom content to an existing panel page, or adding custom content to a new page. In the latter, the content vanished. I think this may indeed be a JQuery update issue, as this module is installed for my site.

catya commentedI am having this problem now and can't figure it out - I don't have Jquery installed (unless it's a piece of something else.). Any info would be appreciated!

catya commentedI'm betting this is a silent fail running out of memory, at least on my site.

Leeteq commentedWhat is the memory limit in your server environment?

joshuapowell commentedHello:
Actually I'm having the same problem.
Upgraded from 5.x1.x-dev to 5.x-2.0-rc1a.
Once I have upgraded and run the update.php script, I attempt to edit a previously entered panel node. As I edit the panel node everything works great, then I click save in the panel edit popup window and it saves. Then I click the save button at the bottom of the panel content page.
Once I click the save button at the bottom of the panel content page it erases all panels on that page.
Attempted uninstall, install, etc. No luck.

asd123asd5 commentedI have the same problem, however i've noticed that it depends what filter your saving under, saving under the full html filter will result in deletion, saving under filtered will work. However if you try to change it to full html later and hit save, it will just go back to filtered.
So far I have only encountered this issue in panel pages.
Edit: just noticed this was for 5.x, my issue is for 6.x, should I make a new topic?

esmerel commentedThis will not be fixed in the 2.x branch
