Description & Experience
Internet start-up Changents (www.changents.com) seeks a bright, strategic-thinking Web 2.0 technologist with experience building Drupal web sites plus a deep understanding of community features and user-generated content functionality. Experience with XHTML, HTML, PHP, MySQL, JavaScript, CSS and AJAX is required. Additional programming experience (Perl, ASP.net, Java, C++, etc.) as well as a working knowledge of video delivery platforms would be very helpful. You will be working with an experienced, distributed team as we transition from Alpha to Beta and scale Changents into a mass social media experience.

Skills and Interests
The ideal candidate will be an active user of social networks, including MySpace and Facebook, and possess an interest in how entertainment and media technology can be used to impact positive social change among a global Internet audience. If you are results oriented, self-motivated, disciplined and a quick learner who thrives on solving problems and teamwork, you’re right for us! Most importantly, the candidate should possess an extraordinary work ethic, be able to commit to deadlines and have a great a sense of humor. Location, Hours and Compensation
Changents is a distributed, national organization whose team is based in New England, Washington DC and Toronto with partners and developers on both coasts. Therefore, we are seeking a technologist who with guidance from management can work independently. While we are flexible about the schedule, candidates should be able to commit a minimum of approximately 10-15 hours per week. Changents will pay competitively (depending on skill level) and cover all pre-approved expenses.
