Description

Hello,

I am running Drupal 6.1 and the captcha shows up the first time, but if the user enters a wrong code or leaves the input field empty and clicks submit, on the second page, the captcha appears correctly until the page finishes loading, when the page finishes loading the captcha dissapears. If you need more information let me know.

that's weird, if you leave the input field empty you should get a "the ... field is required" error message, which is done by Drupal itself

on which form do you have the image CAPTCHA?
what kind of CAPTCHA persistence do you use?

I do get the error and the captcha form still apears, but the captcha image dissapears (only the image, the field with the captcha code and the captcha explanation and the collapsible form still apear) after the page finishes loading (firefox v2). Captcha is on the edit form of book type nodes and is set to always ask. What i did was: install captcha, install fckeditor, install img_filter, test captcha, so it might be a problem with fckeditor/img_filter (both of those work as expected)

Similar problem here, though the captcha form is added the image is not there ^^. On the captcha image settings example everything seems to be working ok.

I also tryed with the match captcha, but maybe I'm dumb enough to fail four or five times calculating 1+0, or 2+3 operations... the thing is captcha throws a beautifull and embarrasing error message saying that I got wrong... again ^^.

Same problem for the text captcha, invalid TOKEN always.

Anybody dealing with similar problems? any known module incompatibilities?

@ serpisor2 in #2:
if I understand you correctly: the CAPTCHA image shows up initially, but disappears after the page finishes loading?
You suggest that it may be a conflict with fckeditor/img_filter. Can you check this by disabling these modules and testing CAPTCHA again please?
Also can you try with different browsers and from different computers?

@ rubs_eguan in #3:
I suspect you have a different problem, so please file a separate issue, otherwise this thread will become unmaintainable.
For example: are you also talking about the CAPTCHA module version 6.x-1.0-rc1?
If I understand your problem correctly: all CAPTCHA types fail to work for you, it's not only the image CAPTCHA?
What is the precise error message you get? "wrong CAPTCHA answer" or "invallid CAPTCHA token"?

Sorry soxofaan, moved to this new issue.

I'm experiencing the same issue.
It happens only when i enable captchas for other node types like "geshinode_node_form, image_node_form" default forms, like login, comment, work as usual.

The CAPTCHA 6.x-1.x branch is unsupported and unmaintained now.
This issue won't be fixed in 6.x-1.x. Because of the lack of interest in this thread (more than a year since last comment), it's also probably not an issue in 6.x-2.x anymore.
So, setting it as closed.
