I've installed and configured the module exactly to the README instructions.

1) I've found that the user_image_default is being applied to both the profile pictures and the pictures throughout the site so all images show up the same size still.

2) My avatar PNG files that had transparent backgrounds now all have black backgrounds.

BUMP. Agree to the previous poster, these bugs are destroying my site. Whenever I'm opening user's profile all other user pictures in all blocks are getting big but they shouldn't - preset should be applied to only user's picture which profile is open, all other pictures should remain the same.

Have the same bug with transparency – all gif, png transparent parts become black.

All other profile pictures will attain the default preset. Set this to the correct dimensions for your images.
