Everything installs perfect and when I click my gallery link it displays the albums perfectly, but when I choose to "add" an image, the resulting page is too large. The input boxes for uploading are so long that they stretch out and are "behind" my navigation menu, which means the submit boxes for uploading are hidden. really frustrating. Any way to make it smaller? I tried changing the theme from Matrix, but it doesnt list any others even though there are other installed ones in the directory.

Talt: As for not being able to change themes, that is because you need not only to install themes, but then subsequently activate them. However, I am experiencing the same issues as you, with all of the built-in Gallery2 themes. Even with the admin sidebar moved to the Gallery Navigation block, there is about half an inch chopped off the right side of the gallery when editing albums or navigating the gallery admin section. My client has requested the fixed-with "Sky" theme for Drupal, so I can not expand the drupal page to accommodate the gallery. Is there any way to force the gallery to fit within the confines of the Drupal page?

You need to create a new theme for your gallery page. Something like: page-gallery.tpl.php to override the gallery page and create a suitable one to fit the gallery theme into the page.

I'm not for sure this will work but try using the Floatrix theme in G2. I know it resizes with the width of your browser window so it should stay in the box drupal gives it.

I'm having a similar issue. When I open up a large image from within Drupal, the image sort of breaks out of the right side of the frame. I tried using Floatrix, but it didn't help.

Are there any settings to force the right side of the frame outward when looking at a large photo?

Here's an example from my site: http://www.perryphotos.com/index.php?q=gallery&g2_itemId=211&g2_imageVie...

Everything is working now? Good.

DEV version not supported anymore.

------------
Feel free to reopen but please look at the latest version first! It's probably fixed.

Hi, i also have this problem. I use the Ice Gallery theme and i don't know how to modify it (to make it less "wide"). There is no page-gallery.tpl.php or anything looking like it that i could modify in the G2 theme. Ice uses js.
Could you please help me with this ?

One great solution (but i guess it's less simple than it sounds) would be to be able to turn the "G2" into a regular "block" (like Gallery block and gallery grid), so that we could assign it to a specific region in the global drupal theme and thus it couldn't go "beyond" the borders of the region. Is it totally un-realistic ?

Is there a way to create such block and "assign" G2 to it ? Any other workaround ?

Thanks in advance.

When you look at the files in the ice theme you will find a .css file. There could be some settings there. If not look in theme.tpl or album.tpl. G2 uses Smarty as a theme engine not pure php. They are kind of close though so if you can theme Drupal themeing G2 shouldn't be too much of a problem.

For comment #7 (yolene), this is more in the gallery software and not the gallery module. You can edit your gallery ice theme and change it if you want to. For that, you would have more support in the gallery forums. Probably here : http://gallery.menalto.com/forum/75
