I have installed this module today, but when I try setting the access control and saving permissions the boxes appear unchecked again. I am not sure if this is an issue with my configuration or if it releates to the reports by others of no refresh happening

Under Site configuration > Block refresh all I see are the save configuration and reset defaults buttons. I am guessing something is missing and it may be due to access control above?

Ok further info

Looking in the logs the module is apparently working but i have tried applying the refresh to a block produced by views and another by the FAQ module. (These are the only ones i have which have randomised content)

the logs report the page not found

Message block_refresh/views/releases_view

Message block_refresh/faq/2

So part of my issue may just be incompatability with these other modules ?

make sure you're using the latest version of the module, and have run update.php. also, for good measure, visit /admin/build/menu to clear the menus. then see if it works.

based on the log errors you're reporting, the /block_refresh menu path isn't in the system. this should take care of that problem.

the system settings page is empty right now. that's because the module is still in development. but the module should work fine for what it does right now. (there will eventually be settings to allow you to refresh all set blocks at one time, to save on page call frequency)
