I wonder what I should have in consideration when I install several sites with one drupal installation (mutlisite) or several sites each with own drupal installation.

Which delivers fastest web pages according your experience?

The advantage of multisite is it enables sharing module. You download modules once and share among the different sites. This makes installation, management and upgrade simpler. It is very essential when you run many sites.

If you run multisite with independent database I do not see its database overhead. However,
if it is the on the same database there might be the case. If you have concern with database size you might like to use multisite with different database rather than same database.
