Hi there,
I've just installed the advanced forum module, everything is working fine, except for the creation of new forum topics.
When I want to view the topics of a particular forum, the header line tells me:
"You are not allowed to post new content in forum."
Then i came by a module called "forum access" and thought i was missing this. So i installed this module, but I keep getting the same failure.
I already checked the access control page, to see if i was missing something.
Even as a site admin, I am not able to create new forum topics.
Any help is appreciated...
Thanks

I haven't tried this module
I haven't tried this module yet, but one piece of advice I can give you is that you should really put this request in the issues queue for the Advanced Forum module. You're much more likely to get an answer there. Good luck.
He did...
I moved it. It's not an advanced forum issue. Advforum doesn't do any access control.

Issues
I would suggest you post this question to the Issue Queue under the Advanced Forum module, otherwise the question is likely to get buried in the forums.

I did actually, but the author of the module told me, this access control issue didn't had anything to do with the "advanced forum" module, so this is why it got here... :)
OG
Are you using the OG Forum module? I know there has been a lot of public vs private access work done as of late to this module. Maybe it is related.
Josh
Nope. I have never had this
Nope.
I have never had this module installed.
ooops... certainly don't
ooops... certainly don't mean to ping pong you. However, when you moved it here you might have considered a more accurate subject and mention the fact that the module maintainer already said it wasn't an advanced forum issue. I'm not trying to nitpick you... it's just that I've personally found I'm much more likely to get useful forum responses with accurate and specific titles (as well as good detail about what you've already done) and I'm just trying to save you some time sitting around waiting for answers to posts.
More often than not it seems that "foobar module problem" posts in the "Post Installation" forum will go unanswered.
true
you are certainly right about that, but i couldn't found an option within drupal to edit my posted items.. :)
I'm having the same problem
I'm having the same problem -was this resolved?
