By roaming on

I'm changing hosting company and rebuilding my site with d6.1 (was using d5.7).
For anonymous users, only pages appear; but the stories and the book pages appear only once logged-in.
In permissions, node access is allowed for anonymous users.
I can't figure out what I'm missing.

Do you mean the permissions groups?
I checked them several times.
The 'access content' box is checked for all users including anonymous.
It's so basic I feel it has to be something very simple I'm missing.
But I've been checking all the 'administer' sections for the last five hours and can't find anything...

Solved by going to:
admin/site configuration/performance

At the bottom of the page, there is a 'clear cache' button.

In my case I think I enabled taxonomy sometime in the process of loading my pages (just the opposite of above post).
