I am developing a new sports league website (so no need to convert any existing databases, etc)...
I already have a spare Vbulletin license that i would like to make use of, but id like to use a CMS for managing my content, but am looking for some advice.

My Needs:
1) Integrated User Registration and Sessions (between Drupal and Vbulletin)...looks like vbdrupal handles tihs well.
2) Public Content: Articles, RSS Viewer, Voting Polls, League Info: Standings, Schedules, Stats, Rankings
3) Private Content: Private League and Team sites with a few custom components and tools that they can use for collaboration (A private forum wont cut it here)

4) Additionally want to make it so that we have a hierarchy of Users. League Admins, Team Captains, Team Participants/Players, and Regular Users (unregistered guests will have limited access). Thus when a user registers they can apply to be a league admin (requires site admin approval), or Team captain (requires League admin approval), or team participant (requires team captain approval), regular users only require email activation.

Can Drupal easily handle this? specifically the user hierarchy?

I prefer drupaltin: www.drupaltin.org

there're not many activities there now, but i think i'll put some code for vb3.7 and drupaltin6 ... when I have some spare time.
