I realize that in the vague and distant future, there will probably be a D6 version of the module. But I kinda wonder if that is after the upcoming stable version, or after the next stable version? (Or much later?)

I haven't looked into what it takes to port modules from D5 to D6, so I wouldn't know if I'm asking a lot here - just probing a little. ;)

Actually, yes, I am planning to do a port to Drupal 6, and hopefully straight after I get the first stable module out.

Ok, I've looked into porting modules from D5 to D6. The mapi and media files both require some fairly substantial changes to database schemas as well as menu systems. This hopefully should not be hard as it sounds. Also, a lot of forms have to be changed to be consistant with the Forms 3 API. It will take some time, but it is the first thing I'll be doing after the upcoming release of both mapi and media.
