Yes, I do plan to port this module to version 6. I'm currently waiting for some follow up on a few bugs so I can lock in a new version. After that some time, I'll start working on it.

Let's not close this until the port is in place.

I require the module for D6 too. If you need any help with testing then I'd be happy to lend a hand.

I just thought I would post a status update here.

I have a Drupal 6.x compatible version about 99% done. (I haven't yet made it available, but I will soon.) I still need to do some testing to it (I'm not even sure it sends the messages yet). In order for me to complete the testing, I need to convert the SMTP module. So, I'll be focusing in on that task for the next week or two.

As soon as I'm sure Mass Contact at least does the basics of what it is supposed to do, I'll post the dev version for beta testing (hopefully in the next two to four weeks). My goal is to get it done by the end of June, because I will be AFK for a week in July, and that would be a good time for others to check it out and report any found bugs.

I've created a quick and dirty D6 solution which enables a bulkmail to all users. Not as feature rich as the Mass Contact module, but if you can't wait and have a D6 site (like me) it could be useful. It can be found here:

After several weeks of work, I've finally created an official port to Drupal 6.

Here is the release node: http://drupal.org/node/279095. The file may not yet be there, but will be within about 12 hours.

Please test it and report back here.
