IE7 and popup

Hi,
Thanks for a great module, glad I found it.
When using popups for all external (default) I find in IE7 all links open a new window. It works correctly in firefox only poping up for absolute links (even if they are on the same domain - I use a sub directory for the main site and the old site is in a different directory so I want this and all others to open in a popup but all internal drupal links to stay in the same window).
Sorry my expertise is not good enough to help in diagnosing it.
