Are there any plans to allow for a notification to be sent when a Private Message is recieved?

As Privatemsg module is implementing its own notification system and it doesn't provide a hook for other modules to do it we won't be implementing such thing.

Anyway, I think this should be a feature request for Privatemsg. It would just need to implement some notifications hooks.

Anywhay, there is already a notifications plugin for Privatemsg here: #413370: Messaging and/or Notifications integration.
