My settings are set to full HTML but when posting the code from PayPal's button maker onto my page and then submitting, the html code itself shows instead of loading the paypal button along with it's characteristics. I am using tinymce for editing.

Are you inserting this code directly into tinymce? or through the html button? If you don't have the html button, add it via your button list. Have you tried disabling tnymce and doing it? I always allow myself to disable and enable my editors.
