Flickr-esque picture gallery: Adding Community Tags.

Despite some experience with Drupal I am still a relative noobie. I am trying to add a photo galery to my community site and would like to ask for a little help and then throw the finished gallery open to the drupal community to use.

I am looking to add community tagging to my gallery page but I am not sure of the best way to do this. My test flickr-esque gallery is at http://afterthemouse.com/gallery

Ideally I’d like to link from the gallery page directly to the tag editing page e.g. node/645/tag I can add an HTML link from the page view it is just being able to define the variable that returns the node of the picture to be tagged in this case 645.

OR – is there another way to tackle this?
