taxonomy terms replaced by "Object"

Issue Summary

I just upgraded to 5.x-3.1, and suddenly all my taxonomy terms have been replaced by the word "Object." I'm also experiencing the same empty box as noted in #225814: when filter is optional, a no-labeled checkbox appears.

I think this is fixed in the latest dev version.
