When I add videos from Blip.tv, they show up in jeroenwijering's flash player instead of the standard blip player. Is this the correct behaviour?

Yes, this is the Legacy Blip player. However, the "Show Player" is their newest palyer, but this module is unable to handle it. If you insert it's embed code then nothing happens.

I don't understand the purpose of this module. You can directly copy and paste the embed code of any video manually, so what does this module do?

It standardizes/fool proofs the process I guess. Shame about the 'Show Player' not working with this module. Bence, what video related modules are you using?

I'm trying to update this to work with the new player. At the moment the problem I'm having is figuring out a way to pull the code that the player uses, which is different from the standard number used on all other posts, and which doesn't seem to be available via the feeds the offer. For an example of what I'm talking about, go to any video page and look at the %code% for "blip.tv/files/%code%" in the embed code for both the show player and the legacy player.

I'm sure this will get figured out in the near future, but it is definitely a feature request and not a bug report.

Thanks Alex, I appreciate your work on this module. When this is fixed, will previous entries with the legacy player update to the show player?

Well, according to the BlipTV blog they will be discontinuing support of the legacy player at some point in the future, so yes, everyone's going to have to move. Once we figure out the codes it shouldn't be an issue.

The latest dev version uses the new blip.tv player- but please update your embedded media data (via the admin/content/node screen ). This will also be included in 5.x-1.1
