Drop down suckerfish menu sorting alphabetically and not by set order

I think my problem is similar to the one listed here which is in version 6.x-1.x-dev - http://drupal.org/node/226622

My site is in 5.7

I have everything working well in drupal and gallery2 except for the dropdown menu which is displaying in alphabetical order and not the way the albums are ordered in the gallery.

The actual menu page displays correct order in the drupal gallery admin side - admin/settings/gallery/menu

But on the website it is displaying the menu's in alpha order and the second levels don't show unless you click on one.

Any suggestions I have been googling for hours and that was after going through all the settings over and over in both drupal and gallery2. The only thing I have thought of is to manually do the menu's instead of it being automatic.
