Theming OG homepages. Using a node-group.tpl.php template.

It seems that using a node-group.tpl.php template file is the best way I can get my OG homepages looking as I want them, but I don't know how to get certain information in there and was hoping others could give me some pointers and maybe a snippet or two.

I have printed out the whole node array and the information about other members of the group doesn't seem to be there. I wanted a section at the top of the group homepage with either names or mini-photos (something like the Members box on the left here:http://teamsugar.com/group/110449)

there are a few other things I'd like but I'll wait to see if anyone posts some good ideas first.
