Seems to me they are overselling their service i have had two accounts with drupalvaluehosting (one on Texas server and other on Seattle) for over 2 months. Ok now here is my issue. 2 months ago everything was great speed was good downloads from my site were around 500kb/sec 600kb/sec (last few weeks I'm lucky to get over 30kb/sec and in the evening around 3 or 4am i get 150kb/sec whooo! i know it isn't my routing to the data center because i own 2 dedicated's at softlayer and 2 at layeredtech which surprisingly max out my 6mbit connection on 1 thread. So just to let you know be aware.
So in the end i decided shared hosting isn't for me.
(I am currently saving to purchase two more dedicated servers to replace my accounts at drupalvaluehosting.)

I have an account on DVH
I have an account on DVH (migrated from Site5 due to poor performance), and haven't noticed any speed issues lately. I've been very happy with my experience there so far. Guess YMMV.
I have two accounts with DVH
I wanted to run PLIGG for my website and I was searching for a webhost that could handle the drain in the server resources that a PLIGG site demands. In the sponsored listing in google, I came across DVH. Further research proved that it was quite good. Especially the reviews at this forum.
The best thing about them is the excellent support. When I emailed Steve about the trouble I had installing PLIGG, I got an immediate reply that he will look into it and then after a couple of hours, it was up and running. I got notified immediately. I think with DVH email works best because of the prompt replies, also because we can collect our thoughts and point out exactly what the issue is.
Then, because I was impressed by the Value that is given to individual customers, I got another account.
Both the accounts are in the shared hosting plan. By the end of this year, I am planning to move them both to separate dedicated servers.
So far the system worked perfectly for me. But the one time the site slowed down was when there was a DDOS attack on their system. It was then that I was apprehensive about this whole thing being too good to be true. But, luckily Steve admitted that he had a problem and that he rectified it. This was quite a while ago. Like I said, at present things are going smoothly.
Lets see if they can continue to maintain the high quality of Support and the high speeds they currently have, esp. since more and more people are joining the band wagon.
I remember the DDOS attack,
I remember the DDOS attack, and I was very impressed at how Amit and Steve responded to the issue. They were open about what happened, and embarrassed that their customers suffered downtime as a result. They are very responsive and open and I have had great experience working with them.
After talking with Amit from
After talking with Amit from DrupalValueHost i did solve speed issues on a lot of problems I don't know what it was something they did, I asked to have this thread removed but never happened. I do change my views now on DrupalValueHost Recommended.
I was very nervous about
I was very nervous about DVH, still am a bit. They are very new on the market, anything can happen. But I figured sometimes you just gotta take a risk, and the price was right. I signed up but I do not at all have the feeling they are overselling, quite the contrary. They have been very open about their plans and so far, and delivered all they promised. I posted my findings here http://drupalvaluehosting.info/content/ive-done-it if you care to know.
I'm guessing everyone
I'm guessing everyone oversells disk space since most users don't use close to their quota.
But the bottom line: I've been very happy with the performance and support, the tools are complete. What more can you ask.

Hosting
Also gave DVH a try. So far so good. Have two sites with shopping carts hosted on their Monster system and plan to add more. A PING indicates 90 ms from Texas to Alaska.
When setting up Drupal there was no need to 'fix' htaccess. It the fastest install ever.
Good luck to DVH.
Pleased on this end.

Better than Dreamhost!
I know that might not be saying a lot, but . . ., for me that was most important. As a newbie Drupal user I couldn't have been more pleased. They walked me through the transition of two sites, did the install on the third and I'm just waiting for my final Dreamhost account to get close to the expiration date to switch that one (which is abysmal at best).
These guys do work the email pretty hard so if you can get past that, Steve and Amit are two of the best I have ever encountered.
I signed up for the Monster package and have set up friends and families with hobby sites in a matter of minutes. Don't believe the haters, believe the users who take the time to come here and extol DVH's virtues.

And better than 1n1
on shared hosting.
DVH offers more memory, faster processor speed in addion to larger space and transfer volume.
The guys are helpful.
One thing strange: my drupal page consumes ~10 Mb memory on 1n1 hosting, but only ~1Mb on DVH hosting, according to devel report.
I am hosting a personal site on DVH. So far quite satisfied.
Wish Amit and Steve's company good luck!
Been with DVH for a couple of months and happy but ...
they had a 2+ hour downtime today. now these things do happen from time to time, and to date Amit has been sensational at support. they even called me by phone to help with an issue i had - imagine that! I can't sing their praises enough, but today they had some downtime, and I had hoped they would be a bit more proactive about alerting, and announcing.
In short - very solid, reliable, incredible performance, helpful ... however .... they are still ironing out some of the kinks so the early-bird discount might have a downside. Really depends on your business needs.
