Could you please add a 'Add a Recipe' link on the list page. Right now the add record is a separate link under Create content.

I think users would like to be able to add a recipe from the list page.

Done, checking into 6.1-1.0-dev.
NOTES:
1) This only occurs on the Page display, not block
2) A CSS class is attached to the div.. you could modify recipe.css to have this float:right for example.
3) If the current user does not have permissions to 'create content' they will NOT see the link.
