Meta Tags on a content type basis + tokens?

Is there a way for nodewords to have tags added on a node type basis. This will be similar to the global keywords, etc. but for all nodes of a certain type. This would be useful in conjunction with passing tokens into the tags as well. That would allow site administrators to automatically set up a standardized format of meta tags with a level of granularity in controlling them, without having page after page with the same keywords, etc.
