Uploading directly to Amazon S3?

I've been looking around the modules repositories, and it doesn't seem like there are currently any modules that allow direct uploading to Amazon S3 asides from some video uploading modules. My site will be hosting a slew of content types, all of which I would like to be uploaded to Amazon S3 rather than on my own server.
Are there any modules that already support this function? I have seen some API's that seem to be in development, but no specific module just yet.
Input on this topic in general is appreciated!

It would be an amazing module!
Frequently on shared hosted Drupal sites you need more space then you have and this would be a great module.
