In module configuration I can specify the SMTP Server's port, encryption protocol and credentials.
How can I specify a different set of parameters for the SMTP Backup Server? Thank you.

I guess the assumption is that the backup server uses the same port, etc. as the primary. So I'm assuming you want the ability to be able to specify the backup server's port and possible encryption protocol separately from the primary server, which certainly makes sense.

I would also like to see this feature implemented, in that if drupal detects 3 mailing errors in a row, it would switch to a different mailserver, with completely different credentials.

It would be nice to have an alternative smtp config that we can use when there are errors with the main mail server.
