The modules that are living in profiles/cod/modules/ don't show up on the Module administration page (http://sitename/admin/build/modules/)

Is this normal? If it is, then its a problem while installing new modules which might depend on something that already lives in the profiles/cod/modules folder but is still reported as missing.

Any ideas?

I think the modules should be in sites/all/modules not profiles/cod/modules.
