What was wrong with http://drupal.org/project/path_image or why was your efforts not based on making that a better module if it didn't do what you wanted?

We're supposed to avoid duplication in Contrib CVS

Thanks for the message. It appears to me that path_image is intended to something entirely different from this module (despite the similarity in names). I think if you'll read the description more closely, or just try out the module, you'll see that these two modules have very different purposes.
