I'd like to see the option in an event node setup to have the option to send out emails to selected roles when you create a new event or edit an existing event...ideally right from within the event node creation (not a separate tab)
Is this possible? Can this be added to the signup broadcast module since it handles emailing certain users?

mdowsett commentedto add to this...it'd be nice to have the options to email new/changed events info to either:
- all users of a site (select by role)
- just signed up users (select by signup status)

jrbeemanYou could use the Actions and Workflow modules, along with the Action Email Role module to email all users of a role when an event is created.
A recent change to the Signup Status module allows you to send an email broadcast to all users who have signed up for an event based on their signup status.
Given these two things, is this issue still needed?
