Issue Summary
Since ourmedia.org promises to host all CC licensed work "for free for ever", it seems that adding the possibility to automatically publish attachments to these services would be a natural extension of the creative commons module. This would not only encourage the creation/submission of more CC'd content, it would provide a mechanism for small/independent media sites to reduce the costs/risks related to popular content (i.e. "slashdot-effect")... which is all the more costly/disabling when dealing with bulky multimedia content.

I agree this would be a killer feature.
Not sure if the CC mod is appropriate for this as it seems to deal more w/ CC licensing of content.
Maybe a ourmedia/archive (or some sort of attachment mirror) mod would be more appropriate, focused on an api that mirrors content to other sites that allow this.
Nice idea and I agree that this would be a super mod to serve users who don't have space or bandwidth.

I like this idea, but it seems like work for a different module. This module is concerned with specifying and expressing the license terms for content on a site. Another module that pushes CC-licensed content could be made to depend on this license. Even better, because of CC metadata, a program could be written that copies CC content from any site over to those services.
