I click the record button and record, but then I cannot either playback the video I just recorded, nor can I view the embedded video either on my site or on Riffly. Here is the link to the riffly.com version, which as of this moment does not play.

Sorry -- looks like this is a problem at Riffly. See http://blog.riffly.com/?p=6 for issues people are having on their demo site.
